How It Happened

In 1992, Bruce Koniver first encountered Lyle Stern. At that time, Lyle was managing a prominent retailer's expansion on the West Coast of Florida, and Bruce was leasing a lifestyle center. Working together and having the opportunity to view each other in action, the two immediately realized that tremendous synergies existed between them. They soon decided to unite their unique talents, experiences and abilities in the hopes of building a firm that offered clients access to the combined benefits of their diverse backgrounds. Today, the result of that vision - Koniver Stern - is one of the most respected retail real estate combinations in the country.

A fifteen-year veteran of the real estate industry, Lyle Stern is primarily focused on the areas of retail real estate leasing, landlord brokerage and retail development consulting. Lyle has been responsible for representing multinational, national, regional and local tenants such as Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole, Whole Foods Market, Starbucks Coffee and Mr. Chow.

Lyle B. Stern


Lyle Stern is the President of Koniver Stern Group, a dominant retail leasing and consulting company based in Miami Beach, Florida. Mr. Stern is a more than twenty-year veteran of the real estate leasing profession. Koniver Stern is best known locally for its leading role in developing the upper moderate retail category in South Beach by way of its recruitment of Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole, Benetton, Starbucks Coffee Company, Guess? Jeans, Limited Express, Victoria’s Secret, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, bebe, J. Crew, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company and most recently H & M. However, its true focus is the national, regional and local representation of both retail tenants and developers. Koniver Stern was responsible for bringing such world-renowned restaurants as Emeril Lagasse, Mr. Chow and recently Milos, to Miami Beach.

Lyle is frequently asked to speak about commercial real estate and is often quoted in newspapers and trade publications. He has been a member of Ocean Drive Magazine’s “Power List”. Lyle is very involved in the real estate community and Miami Beach. His community involvement has included President-Commercial Real Estate Association of Miami and the Beaches; Member- International Council of Shopping Centers; Past President-Police Athletic League; Board of Directors-Miami Beach Jewish Community Center; Board of Directors-Fraternal Order of Police Associates (FOPA); President-Children’s Craniofacial Association; Pillars Member-Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce; Founder-“Oliver’s Fund” (in support of children that are deaf/hard of hearing at the University of Miami Debbie School); Board of Directors-Miami Beach Taxpayers Association; Committee Member-Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation. He lives in Miami Beach with his wife and their three children.



Bruce H. Koniver


Bruce Koniver brings to the partnership his experience in senior management with Saks Fifth Avenue and Jordan Marsh, as well as an outstanding record in securing and negotiating leases for some of the country's leading retailers. He was with Saks Fifth Avenue for 14 years in senior management positions in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Palm Springs and Washington, DC. He was General Manager of Jordan Marsh at the Omni Mall before getting into the shopping center business. He also managed Mayfair in Coconut Grove. His dynamic and positive philosophy has earned him a solid reputation in the retail/real estate community.

Bruce has represented a number of large developers and been responsible for leasing a significant amount of their large upscale retail centers including Forum Development Group’s Forum at Peachtree Parkway (Norcross, GA), Forum at Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA), Sunnyvale Town Center (Sunnyvale, CA) and Forum at Prospect Park (Alpharetta, GA); Cousins Properties’ The Avenue East Cobb (Atlanta, GA), World Golf Village (St. Augustine, FL), The Avenue at Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes, CA); and Taubco’s Vero Fashion Outlets (Vero Beach, FL), North American Properties’ mixed-use properties, Avalon in Alpharetta, GA and Atlantic Station in Atlanta. He is also consulting on their new project in Charleston, SC. He currently serves as the retail consultant for HIne’s newest development, Fenton, in Cary, NC.  Bruce also represents numerous retail tenants including Tesla, Action Kids, Harmont & Blaine, Aristocrazy, John John, Bobo, Le Lis Blanc, adidas, Giraffas, Pottery Barn, Sports Action, West Elm, Williams-Sonoma and Wolford. He has been a moderator and panelist at numerous ICSC conferences. He also serves as a Board Member and Executive Committee member of First Serve Miami.

Michael Finkle

Managing Director


Michael Finkle began his real estate career at Coldwell Banker Commercial which he left when he created Respro Group, a boutique Commercial Real Estate firm specializing in retail properties and retail tenant representation. He sold the business to Summa Properties in 1991 where he remained as Executive Vice President and managed the Retail Division. He joined Adler Group in 1995 where he worked on various retail developments of numerous properties in the Southeast, including a big box, ground-up development in the Atlanta suburbs as well as tenant representation. Mickey then became the Florida Partner at Divaris Real Estate where he oversaw the operations of three Florida offices (Miami, Tampa and St. Augustine/ Jacksonville) and oversaw the leasing effort on one Regional Mall, a Regional Mall conversion and multiple supermarket-anchored centers as well as specialty centers.
He joined Koniver Stern Group as the Managing Director in 2002. In addition to overseeing the firm’s operations, he has been active in shopping center consultations and leasing as well as the exclusive representation of retail tenants including Whole Foods, Crate & Barrel/CB2, Maui Nix, Regal Cinema, Hooters, Brio/Bravo, Fleming’s, Red Robin, REI, Max Brenner Chocolate by the Bald Man, Pinstripes, Perry’s and many others. He also sat on the board of the International Council of Shopping Centers for the Florida Convention for seven years.

Nelson Fox


Nelson Fox has been involved in real estate for over 30 years as both a broker and developer. He joined Koniver Stern Group in 1996. Although based in Florida, he has worked all over the United States including California, Arizona, New York, and Colorado. He has developed both commercial and residential properties.

Noah Fox


Prior to joining Koniver Stern, Mr. Fox worked on tax and white-collar criminal cases at Black Srebnick Kornspan Stumpf for five years. With his strong financial and accounting background, he is able to skillfully analyze and interpret complex financial data which helps him structure creative commercial deals for his clients. He has negotiated both national retail tenant and restaurant deals representing both the landlord and tenant. In addition, he serves as the Vice-Chair of the Miami Beach Zoning Board of Adjustment, where he serves as the Real Estate Development Seat. This experience has given him a better understanding of the municipal issues that tenants and landlords face with the build-out of their spaces and how to efficiently resolve those issues.

Since joining Koniver Stern, Noah has participated in the successful representation of landlords by procuring some of the most important new restaurants in Miami and Miami Beach including Planta, Stubborn Seed, and Cevi.che 105 amongst others. In addition, he has also represented tenants in their expansion efforts. An example of those tenants is both The Little Beet, who recently opened in Aventura Mall and are scheduled to open in Coconut Grove along with Cvi.Che 105 whom he helped grow from a one-unit operator to currently having seven restaurants open or in their pipeline (including Aventura Mall, Dadeland Mall, South of Fifth, and West Avenue).

Prior to law school, Mr. Fox graduated from Tulane University with honors, earning an undergraduate degree in Finance and a Master of Accounting degree.

Jordan Gimelstein, PA

Director of Investment Sales


Jordan Gimelstein joined Koniver Stern Group in 2020, as a Director of Investment Sales, focusing on retail and adaptive reuse properties in the urban core of Miami. He specializes on the supply side of Miami, sourcing deals in the retail, office, multi family, and mixed-use assets, as well as off-market sale opportunities. Primarily representing sellers through exclusive representation, Jordan also adds value through buyer representation, finding and placing investor needs in the market. Jordan is respected and is trusted by many real estate professionals in the community and is also a member of ICSC, Miami Association of Realtors and CCIM Miami Chapter.

Prior to KSG he was an investment sales associate at Whitehall Realty Group and DWNTWN Realty Advisors where he was involved in over $150MM in deals within Wynwood, Design District, and Downtown Miami.
Before getting into the real estate brokerage business in 2015, he co-founded Raw Republic Micro Juicery, a retail health food concept with 3 locations.

Jordan has a Bachelors of Science from Florida International University's Chaplin School of Hospitality Management and is a Miami Native

Kerry Newman


Kerry Newman is a 25 year veteran in the Real Estate retail leasing industry and began his career in Los Angeles working with the Epsteen and Associates brokerage firm and founder of the Chain Links Network. He was then hired by Simon Properties in their USA West Coast office to lease urban malls, specialty centers, enclosed malls and entertainment centers.

In 1994, Kerry moved to South Florida and consulted with regional developers and represented entertainment and restaurant tenants. He joined Koniver Stern Group in 1997 and has handled the lease up of such significant retail projects as Ivanhoe Cambridges' Mary Brickell Village and Starwood Urbans' retail assemblage of Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. He has represented national tenants such as California Pizza Kitchen and McCormick and Schmick and currently represents other national tenants including Red Robin, Artefacto, Domino’s, TGI Friday’s and Natuzzi. Kerry Newman graduated from the University of Texas with a Finance/Real Estate degree and is a member of ICSC.

Arthur Shifrin


Arthur Shifrin is a 24-year veteran in the retail real estate industry, having commenced his career in Gainesville, Florida in 1996 with a local developer. Then, after twelve years with Barrister Realty working Central and North Florida, Arthur joined The Koniver Stern Group in 2011. Working in both tenant and developer representation, his business has included work with Tesla, Starbucks, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Walgreen’s, CVS, Salons by JC, 5.11 Tactical, Dragonfly Sushi, SportClips, RaceTrac City Markets, Cold Stone Creamery, Hooters, Paul Mitchell The School, and many others, closing deals across the state from Miami to Pensacola. His work currently includes the leasing of properties in and around Miami-Dade including the Downtown Doral project, Broward and Orlando. Arthur is an 18-year member of ICSC, a graduate of the University of Florida, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Temple Emanuel in Miami Beach. Arthur enjoys playing guitar, reading, and attending Miami Marlins games.

Larry Soroka

Director of Investment Sales


Larry Soroka has been involved in commercial real estate for over 30 years. He began his career with Iramco Real Estate, where he was involved with the sale of the land at 5th Street and Washington Avenue for the China Grill Building and the sale of 1418 Ocean Drive to Big Time Productions. He joined Koniver Stern Group as Director of Investment Sales in 1999 and has continued to focus on the sale of shopping centers and other investment properties.

While with Koniver Stern he has sold multiple shopping centers around South Florida including Flamingo Marketplace in Pembroke Pines, Del Tura Plaza in Ft Myers and the Chuck E Cheese Plaza in Pembroke Pines. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR) and the Realtor Association of Greater Miami & the Beaches (RAMB) and is a member of ICSC.

David Spitz

Director of Investment Sales


David Spitz joined Koniver Stern Group in 2020 as a Director of Investment Sales specializing in value-add real estate investment sales and exclusive buyer representation. With over 15 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, David has completed over $300 Million in transactional volume primarily in South Florida with a focus on the high street retail areas of Lincoln Road, Collins Avenue, Design District and Wynwood. Prior to joining Koniver Stern Group, David was the Senior Executive of Investment Sales at DWNTWN Realty Advisors and Whitehall Realty Advisors as well as the Regional Director of Capital & Venture Resources, a real estate debt brokerage representing commercial real estate investment and development companies.

David is a member of ICSC and the Miami Association of Realtors, a graduate of Yeshiva University and serves on the board of directors at the Hebrew Academy of Miami.

Michael Sullivan


Michael Sullivan has been with the Koniver Stern Group since 2016 where he specializes in restaurant and retail leasing. He represents both tenants and landlords, offering extensive market knowledge of Miami Beach, Wynwood, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach. Born and raised in Miami, Michael has a deep understanding of its neighborhoods as well as the dynamic market trends and evolving consumer demographics. Michael has developed a robust network of contacts which provides  him with unique market insights and ease in deal execution.

Michael works with national, regional, and local tenants including sweetgreen, Salt & Straw, The Salty, Planta, Tocaya, Maman, Boqueria, Krewe, Puttery, and Old Greg's Pizza. On the landlord side, he represents the Agave Group where he is responsible for leasing out The Plaza development. Additionally, he's leasing JRSE's buildings on Lincoln Road and Wynwood.  

Prior to joining the Koniver Stern Group, Michael Sullivan owned and operated OTC Restaurant and Golden Fig Restaurant in Brickell. He was awarded Zagat’s “30 Under 30” and The Miami Herald’s “Top 50 Most Influential People in The Food Industry.” In 2009, he graduated from Rhodes College, majoring in Business Administration while playing college football all four years. Michael attended Ransom Everglades School in Miami.

Robin Weiner


Robin Weiner joined Koniver Stern in 2017 as a member of their Retail Leasing Team. Robin specializes in both Landlord and Tenant Representation with a special concentration in high profile street retail, lifestyle centers, and regional malls. She also focuses on tenant representation in suburban markets.
Prior to joining Koniver Stern, Robin worked at The Comras Company of Florida, a full service Development and Retail Leasing Firm in Miami Beach. Some of her notable landlord assignments were the representation of Greenstreet Partners in the leasing of their Sunset Harbour properties . She was instrumental in securing fitness and lifestyle tenants to the expanding market. She also represented Nakash Family Acquisitions where she aided in opening up the street retail on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, bringing national luxury tenants to the Five Star Resort, The Setai. Robin also worked with Banyon Street Capital in their Brickell and Coral Gables portfolio, as well as Peb Capital, Genting/World Wide Resorts, and many others. While working at Comras Company Robin represented Club Pilates and Preschool Developers in their South Florida Expansion. In addition, Robin specializes in fashion retail and has represented Vix Paula Hermanny, Planet Blue and Kith in their entry to the South Florida Market. Some of Robin’s active tenants include Delicious Raw, AT&T, and Edible Arrangements.

Robin commenced her career in Retail Real Estate at Marcus and Millichap, an Investment Sales Firm, as a member of their National Retail Group. At Marcus and Millichap, Robin’s responsibilities included providing investment, advisory and transaction services for all types of retail real estate; including single tenant net leased properties, ground-leased properties, and open air shopping centers.

Robin is active in the Miami Beach and Real Estate Community. She is a Young Founder of Mt. Sinai Medical Center and Miami Children’s Hospital. She is also a member of the Greater Miami Women’s Jewish Federation, Friends of North Beach and Temple Beth Shalom. She has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers since 2007. Robin lives in Miami Beach with her husband and two daughters.

Sara Wolfe


Retail expert Sara Wolfe specializes in restaurant and luxury brands representing both tenants and owners nationally. She also has extensive experience in retail development execution, with an expert focus on established and burgeoning markets such as Miami Beach, Wynwood, Midtown, The Design District, Brickell and Downtown.
Sara brings deep market knowledge and the ability to understand the luxury consumer demographic, habits and trends and how those affect her clients' strategic initiatives on a local, regional and national level.

On the tenant side, she has represented such national retailers as Crate & Barrel/CB2, Federal Donuts, Kendra Scott, Orlebar Brown, Sundek, Del Frisco’s, Lululemon Athletica, LDV Hospitality (American Cut, Lugo, and Corso Coffee) and The Container Store, along with Bdry and local restaurants Sweet Liberty and Burger & Beer Joint. She also has represented high-profile landlords and properties such as East End Capital, Crescent Heights, City of Miami Beach, DDR/Midtown Miami, Cobblestone Plaza and Loews Miami Beach Hotel.
A native of Boca Raton, Fla., Ms. Wolfe received her Business Administration Degree from Florida International University with a concentration in Marketing.

Sam Singer


Sam Singer joined Koniver Stern in 2020 after working as an office leasing associate for Colliers International where he specialized in finding customized real estate solutions for corporate clients that aligned with their real estate goals. Prior to that, he was a member of Bnei Herzliya, a professional first division basketball team that participated in Israel’s Winner League and FIBA Europe Cup. He has a degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley's, Haas School of Business, where he also was a 4 year player on the men's basketball team. As a new addition to the Koniver Stern Group, he currently works with both the retail leasing team and investment sales team. 

Lee Koniver

Lee focuses on landlord and tenant representation throughout South Florida. With landlord and tenant representation experience spanning various service lines, Lee provides his client with the highest level of service. As a native of Miami, Lee’s understanding of the South Florida market provides him with a knowledge base that is relayed to his clients throughout the entire deal process. 

Lee began his career with NAI Miami and later worked at Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) while focusing on landlord and tenant representation for South Florida retail, office and industrial clients. Growing up in the South Florida commercial real estate industry, Lee has been able to learn the nuances of the industry and the market from an early age. This allows him to better assist clients in achieving their business and financial objectives with their commercial real estate portfolios. 

Lee is a licensed salesperson in the state of Florida and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
